I am deeply saddened by news of the death of Daniel Langdon Jones. Dan started the website back in 1995 and maintained in tirelessly for years. He started it on his own as an enthusiast, without my knowledge, and when i first encountered the site, the info on the exhaustive discography contained releases I didn’t even know about. I contacted him and became the “official” conduit of JG Thirlwell -related info on the internet, which I contributed to. He continued the run the site and we became good friends. We would correspond and talk on the phone regularly, and get together when we were in the same town. He traveled some distances to come to some of my shows. When I started the online Foetus shoppe, Dan also ran that for some years.

In her early years in practice, Dr. Kent began to see a need for a separate medical facility just for cats, where fear and stress would be reduced for feline patients. In 1985, in a former home in Santa Monica, Dr. Kent opened the only exclusively feline veterinary clinic in Los Angeles, Westside Hospital for Cats (WHFC). Along with other forward-thinking feline practitioners from across North America, Dr. Kent founded the Academy of Feline Medicine in 1991. Through the efforts of these practitioners, feline medicine and surgery became a certifiable species specialty through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). Dr. Kent became board certified in Feline Practice in the first group to sit for the Feline exam in 1995. She certified for an additional ten (10) years in 2005. There are now 78 feline specialists in the world. Dr. Kent served as the Feline Regent and Officer on the Council of Regents for 9 years. She is currently the immediate Past President of the ABVP, which certifies all species specialists. She also heads up a task force joining certain efforts of the ABVP with The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). She currently serves as a Director on the Executive Board of The American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Thanks for all the suggestions on my Ferule cat. We left town for a few days, and I had run out of the Clavmox for him. sooo… as you can guess, he is in a lot of pain and I don`t even know if I will be able to get him to eat any meds in his food. I am going to pick up some L-Lysin… my guess it is in pill form and hopefully he will eat is. I will quarter it…I certainly can`t give him any meds that you rub on his gums… I have a call into forgotten felines and they are going to get back to me on what to do….. I doubt he will go into a trap. Hopefully they will get me some meds… I just want him to be comfortable and pain free…..No vet will give me anything because the want to see the cat….. WTH…. he`s ferule !!!! I need help !!!!! I hate to see him grabbing at his mouth… If I just leave him, will he just go off and die ??? I’m just sick !!!! help…help…
